A 37-year-old New York man has been indicted on charges stemming from a drunk driving crash on Interstate 81 that injured 26 bus passengers in November 2014. He faces up to 25 years in prison.

A 36-year-old Long Island woman is facing drunk driving charges after she allegedly caused a fatal wrong-way crash on March 13. The accident happened just after midnight, according to Suffolk County police.
A 27-year-old golf instructor at the Plainfield Country Club died Saturday night in New York City around 7:45 p.m. Police reported that he was hit by a Mercedes SUV after entering the intersection of East 62nd Street and Lexington Avenue on foot. Also in his company was a 30-year-old woman.
One person was killed and another seriously injured in a wrong-way crash in Sullivan County on Dec. 28. At the time of reporting, police were investigating the accident to determine factors that may have caused the crash.
A 78-year-old man was killed after being struck by a New York City bus while attempting to cross the street. The accident occurred at about 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the East Flatbush area. According to police, the bus was attempting a turn from Farragut Road onto New York Avenue when it struck the woman. The 57-year-old man driving the bus was arrested and charged with a failure to yield. Reports indicate that he was being held out of service during the investigation.
Authorities released the names of three people who died in a car accident at the Phelps intersection of Bostwick Road and Route 14. The incident occurred on Dec. 16 and hospitalized another individual with injuries.
Authorities have identified the female driver who they say caused a head-on collision on Route 370 in Lysander. The 30-year-old Baldwinsville woman was critically injured in the crash, and she was hospitalized at Upstate University Hospital in intensive care after being extricated from the wreckage. Sheriff deputies say she was driving drunk at the time, and they have charged her with DWI, driving without a license and failing to stay in her lane.
An Oct. 31 accident in New York resulted in the death of a 38-year-old man. The man was traveling on Route 90 when his car was struck by an oncoming dump truck, according to authorities. The dump truck, being driven by a 27-year-old man, was headed west when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with the victim's pickup truck head-on.
New York car owners may be interested that Toyota recalled 247,000 vehicles with Takata airbags on Oct. 20. The airbags may explode sending metal shrapnel into the vehicle. The recalls in the U.S. started in June. Florida and Puerto Rico were the first regional areas involved.
